Hi everyone! I just want to say how grateful I am that you are giving us the gift of your time. It means so much to us. We are so excited to share our amazing tools, resources, and wisdom with you. We hope that you gain some Ah-ha’s that you can take away from these posts and translate the work into your everyday lives.
Before we begin, let me just tell you a little about myself, my vision for this blog, and why you should subscribe to our services.
I was born in Palmer, Alaska and when I was six my parents quit their jobs and we traveled around the world for two years. I raised in a variety of countries around the world. I currently live in Portland, OR and I’ve been married for 15-years to a fabulous man named Peter. I am a dog mom to Palmer, my mini-bernedoodle, and I have been in the health and wellness industry for over 20 years. I have been a CEO, Administrator and Director and I am a self-proclaimed workaholic. In 2020 due to the stressors of working in healthcare during the pandemic something inside me snapped. My body literally broke down and I found myself suffering from high blood pressure and fatty liver disease at the young age of 41. I was at the top of my game in my career and made a large six-figure income but I was burned out, depleted, and unhappy. I had lost myself, and I didn’t know what to do.
So, I took a big leap, resigned from my corporate job and made the commitment to heal and take care of myself. I took three months off. It was an incredible journey and when I felt whole again, more like my true self, I began to talk with other women in the business world. I found that that they too craved support, advice and tools they could use to prevent and combat burnout. So I rallied a community of diverse, women to build the platform we were all yearning for.
I invite you to embark on this incredible journey with us, and I hope that together we can learn how to burn BRIGHT and not burn out!
